Also known as “Grocery Store Floral.” Through photography and collaging, I am exploring nontraditional methods of preservation. Flower preservation methods are typically physical. The practice of creating new potential methods of preservation has been one that reveals itself with each step—these collages are one of the first steps. This body of work asks the viewer to consider how the everyday object lives past its life and the marks it leaves behind. These reflections could lead us towards the question of “what marks do we leave behind?”
